Healing Meditations

A quiet space, just for you.

These meditations draw on more than five decades of research into the mind-body connection and cancer healing.

Dr. O. Carl Simonton — a radiation oncologist and one of the founding figures of psycho-oncology — was among the first to recognize that a patient's mental and emotional involvement could meaningfully support healing alongside medical treatment. His work was grounded in an emerging science now known as psychoneuroimmunology — the study of the bidirectional communication network between the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems, exploring how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can directly influence immune function.

The science behind this is compelling. Research shows that creating healing imagery with our thoughts can improve factors like blood pressure, inflammation, and immune markers that have a direct role in healing.  Studies on guided imagery with breast cancer patients found significant increases in natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity — the immune cells responsible for identifying and destroying cancer cells — compared to those receiving standard care alone.

Mindfulness-based meditation has also been shown to work through two measurable pathways: reducing cortisol and systemic inflammation, and enhancing immune cell counts including T-helper cells and natural killer cells.

Dr. Kelly Turner's Radical Remission research — drawn from over 1,500 survivor cases across 10 countries — confirmed what Simonton had long believed: that releasing suppressed emotions, increasing positive feelings, and deepening spiritual connection appear consistently among people who heal against the odds.

These meditations sit at the intersection of all three bodies of work. Each practice is designed to calm your nervous system, engage your body's natural healing capacity, and reconnect you to hope — one breath at a time.

No experience needed. Just press play.
